“Arthur and Janet Watson, who have run this lovely West Bay restaurant for more than 50 years, received gongs for services to hospitality in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours. Their fantastic seafood has also won accolades, including Gold at the Taste of the West awards 2015. The menu changes according to what’s fish and shellfish has been landed locally. You might start with hand dived Lyme Bay Scallops with sautéed samphire and crispy pancetta, or maybe an antipasti selection with cured meats, marinated fish, roasted veg and olives. For mains, there is always a range of fish fillets or whole fish available, or try the legendary seafood platters that can include lobster, crab, langoustines, prawns, mussels, oysters and clams”.
