Tourism Award

Arthur Watson the owner of the Riverside has been honoured with a tourism award for 2010 by the Bridport and District Tourism Association [BDTA] for boosting West Bay and Bridport’s economy for half a century. The winner of the ‘The most significant contribution to Tourism’ award is selected by the Association’s members

BDTA committee member Steven Hynes said: “This year the award will go to Arthur Watson of the Riverside who has not only been offering superb cuisine in one of the finest fish restaurants in the country, but has made a major contribution to the town’s economy by attracting visitors and tourists for many years. Indeed the Riverside will celebrate its 50th anniversary later this year.”
